Slow performance and intermittent failures on Plum logins, orders and GV links

Between 02:07 and 05:26 IST on 23 October 2026, Plum experienced degraded performance. Pages loaded slowly, and logins, storefront browsing and checkout, and Plum Pro API requests intermittently timed out or failed. Some Plum Pro API orders and storefront orders submitted in this window did not complete, and GV link redemptions saw reduced success.

The cause was a sudden spike in load on a core caching component that our authentication service depends on. This degradation was followed by a full outage from 05:26 IST, covered in a separate update.
